(a successful socio-political model for national liberation )

Notice : Before writing the text on the Palestinians , I would like to put forward some critical points related to the information provided by Western political and historical sources concerning the geo-political and historical identity of Palestine and the Palestinians, as well as the attitudes of Western societies towards these identities.

For the last 150 years , the Jewish Zionist Empire and its proxies around the world, especially in the West , have succeeded in reformulating and distorting the geopolitical identity of the Palestinian peoples by utilizing various tools and channels which they absolutely control due to their financial and political influence world – wide.

First of all, they control the means of communication and information by dominating major media outlets , major newspapers, major periodicals ,major entertainment companies and major editing houses , especially in Western societies.

Second, through their proxies in various Western societies , they have infiltrated their educational institutions such as schools, colleges and universities , as well as defining the curriculum material , while also prioritizing the subjects taught in these institutions.

Third, they have bought off or blackmailed Western politicians, state bureaucrats and state officials in order to promote pro-Zionist policies and anti-Palestinian rhetoric.

In our text, we shall put emphasis on the geopolitical distortions which have been normalized against the Palestinians, in the world and especially in the West.

A) A brief history of Palestine

The historical Palestine is made up of the present day Palestinian territories which include the Gaza Strip , the West Bank, as well as the geographic region which spans from the Mediterranean Sea in the west and the Jordan River in the east.

The first traces of the name Palestine comes from the time of Ramses II and III of Pharaonic Egypt , approximately around 1500 B.C., at the Medinet Habu temple in the Luxor area of Egypt. They indicate the Pelest (P.L.S.T) among the peoples who fought against Ramses III.

Today we know the Peleset as the Philistines .

Regardless of the racial origins of the Philistines , their name came to be associated with this geographical region (Palestine), not only in ancient Egyptian inscriptions but also in ancient Assyrian inscriptions from the 8th and 7th century B.C. , referring to the area as Palastu.

It was during Classical Greek Antiquity and the Hellenistic period (300B.C-135 B.C.) , that the name Palestine did not only refer to the area ruled by the Philistines , but sometimes it also included Jordan .

Palestine was inhabited by Semitic peoples , the earliest being the Canaanites while the Israelites were also a peoples who lived in Canaan as so many other regional tribes.

Modern scholars consider that the Israelites emerged from groups of indigenous Canaanites and other peoples like the Arab tribes .
All of these peoples spoke different dialects of Aramaic, like the archaic form of the Hebrew language spoken by the Israelites.
In the Iron Age , the kingdoms of Israel and Judea were founded which lasted from 922B.C. to 721B.C., which geographically represented the Roman provinces of Judea and Samaria.

In 722 B.C. , the Assyrians under king Sergon II , conquered the kingdom of Israel ,and many Israelites were deported to Mesopotamia. Great Israelite Diaspora began with the Babylonian exile in the 6th century B.C.

It is believed that a sizable Israelite population lived in the north of Egypt from about 1500 B.C. – 1250B.C.
Enormous numbers of tribes , most of them Semitic, had been settling Northern Egypt from about 1800B.C.
Archeological and genetic data, support that both the Israelites and the Arab Palestinians came from the Ancient Canaan , while through time, these tribes were mixed with Egyptian, Mesopotamian and Anatolian peoples.

In the Old Testament or the Torah of the Jews, the land that was promised to Abraham for his ‘’chosen peoples’’ , the Israelites , by their God Jehovah ,was Canaan or the territory that today we call Palestine. This territory was ruled by the Israelites for about 200 years under the kingdoms of Israel and Judea (922B.C. -721B.C.)

In the beginning of history , Canaan was under the political dominion of Pharaonic Egypt for more than 2,00 years. Then came the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Persians, the Hellenistic kingdoms, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Arabo-Islamic kingdoms , and finally the Ottomans.The Ottomans ruled over Palestine until the beginning of the20th century, when they ceded Palestine to the British, becoming a British mandate until 1948 when Israel was declared an independent state by the U.N.

*** In theory, a lot of the evidence which supports that Palestine as a geographic space belongs to the Jews or Israelites , comes from the Old Testament or the Torah of the Jewish religion.
The Old Testament is a collection of quasi-religious , quasi historical documents which were first categorized by Rabbinical scholars during the 1 st century B.C. in Babylon. It was finally formalized as the Torah by rabbinical consuls who were the elites of the Israelite community in exile during the Persian historical period(538B.C. – 332B.C.).These rabbinical scholars controlled the Great Temple of Jerusalem.

The Torah or the Old Testament was constructed through time to legitimize historically and metaphysically , the divine right of the Jews or the Israelites to dominate politically over Palestine.
