The Morality of political commentators
(Notice: Alex Christoforou and Alexander Mercouris are two very important political commentators on the website .Both have their own podcasts and they cooperate in a common podcast under the name of The Durand , where they share ideas, they invite specialists and they discuss political themes and major political events in the form of a roundtable talk.
Alex christoforou is a Cypriot citizen who grew up and was educated in the United States . He resides in Cyprus.
Alexander Mercouris grew up in Great Britain and resides in London.
Alex christoforou comes from a long line of Cypriot diplomats, while Alexander Mercouris comes from a long line of Greek politicians ,the most famous one being Melina Mercouri, who was the Minister of Culture of Greece, under the premiership of Andreas Papandreou during the 1970s and 1980s. He is a Greek and a British citizen.
Dear Mr. Alex christoforou and dear Mr. Alexander Mercouris
I have been following both of you for at least 10 years. I have made some written contacts while I was in Montreal ,Canada for about 7 years in order to arrange my Canadian pension. Now I have returned to my home in Athens, Greece.
I am in full agreement with both of you concerning the destructive forces of Globalism around the world, especially the neo-cons of the United States and the European leaders of the European Union.
Related to the Ukraine military conflict, like both of you I am on the side of Russia since for Russia it is a matter of a geopolitical survival.
Where my concerns lie and even my reasons for a strong opposition is your moral indifference concerning the question of the Palestinian state, the Palestinians and the apartheid regime in Israel.
For the last 2 years at least, Israel and its military forces the I.D.F, has been killing in the Gaza Strip of Palestine , tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians , mostly women and children.The official estimate from the Ministry of Health of Gaza is at least 50,000 dead Many humanitarian organizations such as Amnesty International put the number of victims at over 150,000.
As a consequence, this represents a major political event and a major driving force in the political affairs of the Middle East, resulting in negative popular reactions and international condemnation for this’’human atrocity’’.
Just on basic moral grounds , both of you , as important political commentators on the website and beyond, should have focused more and discussed more the “ human genocide” that is taking place in Palestine during the last 2 years at least.
Alex , your Cypriot compatriot , Dimitri Lascaris who lives in Toronto, Canada, and is an international lawyer , in his very popular podcast has taken a completely different view . He put great emphasis on this Palestinian Genocide , exposing its historical and political roots , even exposing his own country ,Cyprus, in facilitating indirectly this “genocide”. He exposed that the Cypriot government is officially allowing the Israeli military planes to use the British military base in Akrotiri, Cyprus, to take off and fly over the Gaza Strip in order to survey its Palestinian population and bombard chosen targets.
For many years , the governments of Cyprus and Greece have acted as political minions or “political whores” for the Jewish Zionist Empire, making lots and lots of money. Cyprus and Greece are some of the very few states around the world who have not officially recognized the legitimacy of the Palestinian state, blocking support for the Palestinian peoples and the Palestinian cause, even though they are linked historically, geographically and culturally. They are “ regional political pariahs”.
The Central Bank of Greece is controlled by the Jewish Zionist Rothschild banking family, while most Cypriot banks are involved in laundering “dark money” brought to them by Jewish Zionist Russian oligarchs who are involved in human trafficking , in illegal weapons trafficking and in narcotics trafficking around the globe.
I feel sad and even angry with you when you Alex Christoforou visit various locations to do your podcast, locations in Cyprus, Greece, Hungary or Slovakia, walking around and showing great interest in the small animal creatures around you , like pigeons , cats, dogs and lizards. Maybe you should demonstrate the same type of sensitivity and concern for the thousands of Palestinian civilians, especially the women and children who are being slaughtered in Gaza and the West Bank of Palestine by the military forces of Israel?
For both of you, Alex Christoforou and Alexander Mercouris, the Prime Minister of Hungary Orban is a European hero, a populist leader “in theory” ,an opponent to Globalization and a supporter of Russian President Putin. Yet, he is also a friend of a the American “hegemon, Trump and the “psychotic” and “fascist” Prime Minister of Israel Netanyahu He is one of few European leaders of the European Union who has declared officially that even though the official stance of the E.U. is to arrest him after the judgment of the International Criminal Court in the Hague declared him a “war criminal”, that he would allow him to enter freely in Hungary.
My last point and please both of you take notice, is that the Zionist lobby in Russia as well as in the United States greatly influence greatly their foreign policies. Yet, I believe that once Trump and Putin recognize that the Jewish Zionist Empire is harming their own personal geoplotical goals and strategies , they will weaken this Zionist Empire and eventually eliminate it.
In Mao’s Marxist theory , there is a criteria which defines that in human history and in human societies there are reconcilable and irreconcilable contradictions . On moral and geopolitical grounds your political stance on the Palestinians and on the Palestinian state is irreconcilable for furthering human progress , human understanding and human justice.
