(a successful socio-political model for national liberation)
Notice: Before writing the text on the Palestinians, I would like to put forward some critical points related to the information provided by Western political and historical sources concerning the geo-political and historical identity of Palestine and the Palestinians, as well as the attitudes of Western societies towards these identities.
For the last 150 years , the Jewish Zionist Empire and its proxies around the world, especially in the West , have succeeded in reformulating and distorting the geopolitical identity of the Palestinian peoples by utilizing various tools and channels which they absolutely control due to their financial and political influence world – wide.
First of all, they control the means of communication and information by dominating major media outlets , major newspapers, major periodicals ,major entertainment companies as well as major editing houses , especially in Western societies.
Second, through their proxies in various Western societies , they have infiltrated their educational institutions such as schools, colleges and universities , as well as defining the curriculum material , while also prioritizing the subjects taught in these institutions.
Third, they have bought off or blackmailed Western politicians, state bureaucrats and state officials in order to promote pro-Zionist policies and anti-Palestinian rhetoric.
In our text, we shall put emphasis on the geopolitical distortions which have been normalized against the Palestinians, throughout the world and especially in the West.
B) The demographic composition of modern Palestine
In 1700, the population of Palestine was estimated to have been about 7,000 Jews , 22,000 Christians and 246,000 Muslims. Other estimates put the total number of Arab Christians and Moslems closer to 300,000.
In 1800 the total population in Palestine was 250,000 reaching 500,000 in 1890.
Large scale Jewish immigration to Palestine started in the 1880s , following a series of ‘’ pogroms’’ in the Russian Empire. The great majority of Russian Jews escaping the Russian ‘’pogroms’’ went to the United States, while several thousand went to Palestine.
By 1890, the population of Palestine stood at 43,000 Jews ,57,000 Christians and 432,000Moslems. (Quora .com)
Immigration of Russian Jews to Palestine continued up to the outbreak of WWI, and by 1914, there were 94,000 Jews, 70,000 Christians and 525,000 Muslims .
During WWI, the Ottoman Empire expelled many foreign nationals, including Russian Jews. As a consequence, the population of the Jews declined, since Palestine was an integral territory of the Ottoman Empire.
Immigration of the Jews to Palestine resumed following WWI, and when the British took over Palestine under a ‘’mandate’’ decided upon by the League of Nations in 1918, the British authorities undertook a population census of Palestine in 1922. This census showed that in Palestine there were 83,794 Jews, 73,094 Christians, 590,830 Muslims, and 7,213 other ethnicities.
Jewish immigration to Palestine continued after the British Mandate(1918-1948), with most Jewish immigrants coming from Eastern Europe.
In 1931, a census found that in Palestine there were 171,606 Jews, 88,907 Christians, 790,700 Moslems, and 10,101 other ethnicities. (Quora.com)
In the 1930s ,Jewish immigration to Palestine switched from Eastern Europe to Germany, while in 1941, the population of Palestine was 474,102 Jews, 125,413 Christians, 973,Muslims and 12,881 other ethnicities.
The Anglo-American official inquiry council performed in 1946 a final population census of Palestine ,before Israel declared its independence, this without the consensus of the Arab Palestinians, whether they were Muslim or Christian. This final census registered that in Palestine found that there were 608,225 Jews, 145,063 Christians, 1,076,783 Muslims, and 12,891other ethnicities(Quora.com)
Until the mass Zionist colonization of Palestine in the late 19th century, the percentage of Jews in Palestine was very small, never more than 3-4%. When Israel was founded in 1948 through a United Nations vote ,this without the approval of the Palestinians, the Jews were a minority in Palestine.
In 1922,the area controlled by Jews was 11%while in 1947 it was closer to 30%.
After the Arab-Israeli war of 1948, 909,000 Jews were expelled from Arab countries , and many of them moved to Israel. Following these events , other exoduses added to the Jewish population in Palestine, there were the Russian Jews fleeing political persecution and Ethiopian Jews fleeing a long famine in their country.
The Sephardim Jews originate from North Africa and the Middle East, and are racially Semitic. They represent about 55% of Israel’s Jewish population , while the Ashkenazim Jews originate from Eastern Europe and are racially Caucasian . They represent about 45% of Israel’s Jewish population.
The DNA structure of the Ashkenazi Jews is located in modern day Turkey and is found to be closest to Turkic , southern Caucasian and Iranian populations. These were migrant tribes of native populations who had settled in the 10th century in the Rhineland regions of Germany and in time, had converted to Judaism. These peoples were originally pagan or animistic.
